These particular columns are lighter in weight than our DuraClassic fiberglass composite column covers. As a result, they are often preferred for second story columns, larger column cover applications, or columns with diameters 18” and larger due to their lower cost and handling labor. In many cases, ClassicGlas column covers do not require a crane or other specialized handling equipment to install them, thereby greatly reducing the overall installed cost of your columns. Our ClassicGlas column covers are also engineered in a selection of labor saving shaft alignment joints to assist you in joining the halves of your column covers with the least amount of labor possible.
